We heard the news today that we purchased Halpern Meat & Seafood, and we are incredibly excited to have such a great company join our Gordon Food Service family. Instead of purchasing from a third party, we will be more competitive in helping our customer base by owning one of the best in the industry and also offering many unique items to help our customers offer variety as well as quality. We are building something special here at Gordon Food Service, and it is an awesome feeling being a part of the culture that they have sustained for 5 generations as the largest independently owned company in the food service industry.
