We hope everyone enjoyed their post-long weekend Tuesday! We are only days away from the next monthly Hey Muzo Collaboration (4/10/14). For those of you who missed out on their last gig (and for those who have been waiting), here are the highlights from the 4th Hey Muzo @ Universal Bar gig. Enjoy! Terry Gibbs has come a long way since his early Hey Muzo days. A bit of a law-breaker too – he wrote his original song ‘Groom’s Speech’ while driving on the freeway! You can view the outcome here: https://youtube/watch?v=bT9f6OFj744 He also introduced the Hey Muzo family to the lovely Caroline Seth. The question on everyone’s mind, “why haven’t we heard of Caroline Seth?” Her cover of ‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence None the Richer alongside Terry will tell you why. https://youtube/watch?v=pyooh4VBGas Jean Henri Pinchand took the stage right after, filling the room with his excellent technical guitar skills and raspy voice. He was relaxed and poised on stage; his escalating voice providing depth to each song. https://youtube/watch?v=UyGqUcb7wBE Allie Hainsworth and Chris were up next, starting off the crowd with a memorable performance of Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’. Allie was at ease and the duo were a great addition to the Hey Muzo family. https://youtube/watch?v=oOmEikjIhy8 It was time for the band to take stage, as Tuesday Marmalade made their way up to bring some good ol’ soul and funk to Universal Bar. Gessica’s larger than life voice and the band’s wonderful on-stage chemistry simply blew us all away. Watch them here: https://youtube/watch?v=ilEM9mZdNds Escelade was the combination of the two beautifully haunting voices of Benjamin and Ying Li. Their beautiful white cello and poised on-stage stance had everyone’s eyes fixated on them. Their punk and jazz vibes were a breath of fresh air to the diversity of a Hey Muzo collaboration. Watch their cover of ‘Crazy’ here: https://youtube/watch?v=YrPzjHED2mc Travis Green was up next! His voice boomed throughout Universal Bar, giving us a sneak peek of some of his originals. We are looking forward to his first EP to be launched sometime in November. For now, here’s his original, ‘Clarity’. https://youtube/watch?v=kEuxQVoMlrA Ella Edwards-Smith is the youngest Muzo to perform at a Hey Muzo collaboration event. But what does a spunky 14 year old (yes 14) girl who was also on ‘The Voice: Kids (Australia)’ sound like you ask? Watch here: https://youtube/watch?v=9yLgxRAoIao Tony Munnings had arrived and he was there to perform to a fitting close for the 4th Hey Muzo @ Universal Bar Collaboration. His warm personality took center stage as he performed several originals including ‘The Driller’s Wife’ which you can watch here: https://youtube/watch?v=79NfyI9fkhM Well, until next time folks. We look forwarding to seeing both old and new faces this coming Saturday once again at Universal Bar! :) - DHIVA -
