“We hope (the win in Boston) is a building block for us,” Leafs coach Randy Carlyle said in the wake of the Boston win. “(The Wild) is a good hockey club we’re playing, and we played a good one (in Boston on New Year’s Eve). So hopefully that gives us some confidence and gives our players the ability to say, ‘Hey we can compete and we can go out and play the type of game that’s necessary to have success.’ “
