We invite nihilism, pessimism, and hopelessness into our lives - TopicsExpress

We invite nihilism, pessimism, and hopelessness into our lives each time we allow media and popular culture to define our world through its sensationalist and romantic projections of doom and gloom. This isnt to suggest that there arent bad things happening, but we can make a different choices about how to process these realities. I balance each reference that comes my way of impending gloom and doom with something positive and uplifting. There is much good happening in the world, even amid war, hatred and environmental decay. There are many random acts of kindness, hugs between strangers, people feeding the needy, and folk deciding they have a reason to go on... if for just another day. Call me the eternal optimist. My life is a testimony of choosing hope over hopelessness. How we see the world is as much a choice as what we decide to do about it. Wanna see a better world? Make it so. Good day, fam.
