We keep hearing how these entitlements to poor people are killing the American economy, but I find interesting how nothing is said about how corporate America gets away with, in my opinion, ripping off the American people. The mining act of 1866 gave public land to the mining industry for $5.00 a acre, maybe not a bad deal 150 yrs. ago, but thats still what they pay today, the mining industry has spend 20 million dollars to congress to make sure they don repeal the act, you guessed it, it still there. They make billions of dollars, with no royalty to you, the tax payer. How bad can it get, well you also have to pay for the clean up of toxic waste left behind. Kind of like somebody going into your backyard, giving you a nickle, taking everything they wanted and leaving you the clean up/
