We lost our precious daughter, Evalise Marie McLean to meningitis 2/9/2014, she was 6. Her meningitis was caused by H.Flu type F, for which there is no vaccine. She was not immune suppressed that we know, and it stemmed from an ear infection. In just a matter of hours she lost complete brain function. Many anti-vaccine people saw her story on the news and use it as a reason to not vaccinate their children. Evies HIB vaccine did not fail, it wasnt the same strain of bacteria. I try to get her story out to make sure people know he importance of vaccinations for their children (HIB) and teens (meningococcal). I am just one voice in a sea of non vaccinators. It is so scary, I dont want any other parents to suffer what we are going through. The pain is unbearable.
