We love to hear how our alumni are doing in their new homes! At the Oakville & Milton Humane Society the homeless animals here are part of our family until they are part of their forever family however long that takes...so we are always over the moon to hear how well loved they are in their new family. Heres a VERY Happy Tail from Bentley...wish wish a home like this for all of our shelter family! Hey everybody, Its coming up to 1 year since we adopted Bentley and thought we would send you a few pictures and an update Bentley is doing great and we couldn’t be happier with the addition into our family! He’s tipping the scales at a healthy 90 LBS and has grown so much since we first picked him up. He’s very tall, muscular, lean and not to mention FAST!! He also full of puppy bulldog energy! Some of his favourite past times are playing tug of war, chasing his jolly ball, laster light or practically anything else that can be thrown and chewing on his jumbo antlers. Most recently we took him up to the cottage for a week of summer fun! He was totally in his element – he enjoyed long naps under the shaded trees, cruises on the boat, lounging by the camp fire and swimming in the lake. We were not sure how he was going to be in the water but without any hesitation he trotted right in like a champion. With a little help of his trusty life jacket he can keep up with his sister. Bubs is full of personality and character! Over the past year Mike and I have watched as he grew into himself, life is never boring with Bentley around! Bubs can be quite the joker – rolling around on our patio, stealing pumpkin and squash from our garden to his big goopy kisses he gives! There is never a dull moment. We look forward to many more fun filled years of Bentley entertainment and charm. We cant thank you guys enough for the dedication and help from the staff at the shelter. Without the help and dedication from the OMHS who knows where Bentley would be today or what type of dog he would have become. Thank you for all of the wonderful work you do for the animals. Yours Truly Michael, Danielle, Maggie and Bentley Your gift to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society makes Happy Tails like this possible for the 6,000+ orphaned, homeless, abused and neglected animals that will need our help this year. You can make miracles happen by going to omhs.ca and clicking on DONATE NOW...no donation is too small, because when we all work together we can change the world for the homeless animals of our community. The animals...and we, THANK YOU!
