We made it! Lots of downed trees, but none hit any of our stuff, just a lot of cleanup to do. Lots of creaking in the yurt, but no damage at all! Having 25 miles of forest between the ocean and us really helped, I think. And I have a new appreciation for not having an ocean view anymore, the trees hovering over our property really helped break the wind. Im so thankful to Mother Nature for protecting us! Also, we still have power... Solar power! Havent needed to turn on the generator at all. How blessed we are!! Im also very grateful to my hubby, Eric, for all his preparedness actions. He keeps Aunty Sharon and I and the kitties safe. Happy to report Sharons cabin, behind our yurt, also came through with no damage. Yahoo! Thank you God, Angels, all sources of Higher Power that protect us and keep us safe.
