We made it home after a long 13 hour drive, the trip home was such an emotional roller coaster! So happy to spend time with Matt Dobson but want so much more ! He wont be home for very long and he is off again :( He is stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. I realize he is grown up at 21, but I still want to "protect" him as much as possible. I have so many worries and tears for him that at one point yesterday he said enough with the crying Mom... Im 21! I kept hugging, kissing, and touching him to make myself realize he was actually there with us! The Army has certainly changed him into a well mannered, disciplined young MAN! When and HOW does a parent let go of the boy she raised? I know he has a new journey to start as an Army Soldier, and I support him, but he will always be my little boy in my heart.
