We made it home finally a little after 9pm. I cant say how - TopicsExpress

We made it home finally a little after 9pm. I cant say how thankful daddy and I are that Molli has slept through the whole night last and still is. After 24 plus hours sitting and standing by Mollis bedside we were pretty sore and went 48 hours on no sleep just to be there for our baby girl. I hate that feeling of being so scared if this could be the last time of all this...thing change quickly. To sum up the events of the past two day. We had noticed Mollis breathing was starting to become heavy and fast at times. We would check her Pulse ox levels (O2 and heart rate) but would be normal and no temp. The first two things any heart parent is supposed to do. Because it was periodically we just kept an eye. Friday we called Hershey to make them aware Molli was loosing weight, having spells of heavy breathing and refluxing a lot. We both decided to keep an eye because everything else checked out. But by Friday night we notcied the breathing heavy was constant and her levels would drop down to 70 and shot up to 83 which is still low for Molli and her resting heart rate was 140. She normally rest at 90-110. We called Hershey and decided she needed to come in. Either she was starting to become sick, dehydrated and or heart issues. We were nervous because all signs looked at heart issues because at the time, water poopies didnt exist. We were stuck in the E.R for 12 hours before we got a bed with 4 failed needle attempts for blood work, a good EKG and clear chest xray. So that ruled out heart issues. Thank goodness. So once in room they attempted blood again but failed so we just did a heel stick. Why not a heel stick the first time? Because it is not as accurate as vein blood and can hemolize (clot). The results showed dehydration. So Molli became dehydrated because they now feel her body does not need as much lasix as she was getting because its working better to flush fluids on its own YAY! And because she was getting more food than her body could handle it cause her to get the poops. In conclusion, Molli now has a lower Laxis dose to flush water and we will be playing around with her feeds to find a happy medium that allows better toleration and weight gain. We have to get blood test again Monday to see if things are Improving. Fingers crossed they are so we dont have to be readmitted. Thank you all so much for the love, support, prayers and always thinking of Molli
