We made it to Ann Arbor tonight, all unpacked and settled in. Olivia has a very busy day tomorrow, starting with programming for her ears from 8am-10am. Then its off to the hospital for pre surgery screening and lunch. At 1:30 she has a dentist consult. Because of the medicine and oxygen given to her for so long after birth her teeth are horrible! Not sure what they are going to want to do but any work on them will result in her needing to be put under anesthesia, so of course this momma only trusts U of M for that. We are hoping to visit our NICU nurses too :) Friday olivia has to be to the hospital at 8am for pre op, she will be getting her chest CT, bronch (to look into her trachea and lungs and then they will be dropping a pH probe. Her pulmonologist wants to see if she can see a reason olivia keeps getting pneumonia and why her asthma has flared up so much in the last little while. We will be staying overnight from Friday to Saturday in the hospital for 2 reasons, the pH probe goes down her nose and she needs to be watched closely so she doesnt pull it out, when they put it in the first time shell stop be under anesthesia but if she pulls it out shell have to be held down, and because she was just put under they like to watch her for 24 hours after, so it all worked out. Youd think after being through many much worse/life threatening surgeries id be fine but no matter how small the procedure still a nervous wreck! Ill keep everyone updated when I can!
