We moved our five Barnie girls into their summer run today so we can plant summer veggies in their self-dug and fertilised winter run. We have cherry trees growing inside their summer run too, to keep the native birds uut, but let the native bees in. The summer run here is a commercial greenhouse frame, but we replaced the plastic with mesh. The chooks love it and we can walk in for fresh eggs and cherries. Might put a few different fruit trees in next year - plums, peaches etc - saves netting them. :-) Dallas.
