We need MORE young women in politics and people of ALL backgrounds to truly represent all Canadians. Ruth Ellen is a fantastic MP and I am proud to sit in the house with her and the 15 other women under 35 in the NDP caucus. A Womans place IS in the House...of Commons! House of Commons facts: 25% of MPs are women (and thats a record in Canada) 40% of NDP MPs are women (getting better) 16 of 22 NDP MPs under 35 are women, that is 75% THAT is how you change politics!
