We need to make people aware of our truck ordinance within residential areas. City ordinance prohibits the on or off street parking of any vehicle with a gross weight of more than 10,000 pounds within the residential areas of the City of Bowie. Tank vehicles with flammable, toxic or otherwise hazardous chemicals shall not be allowed to park within 100 feet of any building used for assembly, institutional or residential occupancy. If you have a friend or neighbor that is in violation of this ordinance, please help spread the word. We hope for voluntary compliance to this ordinance.
