We need to write new history books that will finally show the hundreds of contributions and achievements made by African-Americans for 100s of years. And I dont mean separate books on AA only or ones that only come out in February for BLACK HISTORY month. I mean in the same books where white American heroes, history makers, etc. are recorded. BLACK HISTORY IS AMERICAN HISTORY. What an injustice it is not say so as a nation. BLACK HISTORY/contributions are more than a handful of slaves, bus riders and orators. Not only does America have some of the lowest standards of education in the world...we take pride in ourselves...in our resolve to maintain our history even though we know the vast majority of it is ignored at best and a lie in fact. We were ALWAYS more than slaves. We were builders of nations and civilizations...including this one.
