We obviously all know that it is not about violations of law, rules and regulations by the thousands of pro-democracy protesters in Hongkong as Beiging has charged, since the basic issue here is Chinas apparent violation of its previous agreement with the British government when Hongkong was turned over to China in 1997. That China would allow Hongkong residents to freely allow them to continue the status quo for democracy.
