We offer conscious sedation (CS) as a treatment option for our young patients as opposed to general anesthesia (GA). We have many families who come to us for a second opinion after having GA recommended to complete dental treatment. Sometimes GA is necessary but I have rarely had to do this. CS is much less drastic because it will not put a child to sleep. It is also MUCH less expensive. Here is a video of a cute little 3 year old who received dental treatment with CS.
