We posted this yesterday: ***Not sure whats up with the road crew at AC, but the same guy that worked this weekend and brought in TWELVE dogs (normal is 1-2) is on the way in now with SEVEN MORE DOGS.**** Today the same guy is on his way in right now with 5-6 more dogs. This got under my skin so I asked for details. Every one of these now-close-to-2-dozen dogs has had a call generated that resulted in its pickup. So he isnt just out there rounding up stray dogs. It is road staffs discretion whether a dog is brought in on a given day. 4341, for instance, had food and water in reach of his chain, he could have waited another day legally. Thats a difficult call to make--he made it, and now there are over 70 dogs in a place that holds 45. This matters to you because: 1--If they decided to euth 20 dogs to get the numbers right, and they chose by the dates they came in, there wouldnt be any dogs that had been there for more than 11 business days. Speed in getting animals out is of the essence. 2--Yes, the entire shelter system is broken, we all agree on that. But when you get the story behind the story, are you still casting -all- of the blame in just one direction?
