We read Tradition Two tonight and Ive been doing some thinking, but before I start, I want it known that I have been guilty of this on a few occasions without realizing it until after I read this Tradition. So here goes........Ive heard it said that selfless service is doing service for others and no one knows about it. So........if a person that announces it every time they do every bit of service work, is it really selfless? I love helping people and sharing the message of recovery but I do it because I can and because thats what I was taught to do and not for any recognition I may get. However, I appreciate when people check in to meeting places because that tells me that the message of recovery is being carried which is our primary purpose. This is something I will strive to work on. Selfless service isnt about I or me...........Ok, Im done.
