We relentlessly encourage Muslims to pray on time in the masjids, - TopicsExpress

We relentlessly encourage Muslims to pray on time in the masjids, to offer night prayers and witr and to fast voluntary days! We always ask them to feed the poor and hungry and to help the needy wherever they are. We encourage them to make loads of thikr and offer a lot of salutation to our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam. We demand that they only worship Allah as taught to us by His Messenger salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam and not to innovate anything in Islam that he didn’t prescribe. Does anyone have a problem with what is mentioned above??? I know that no Muslim argues about this at all! We want people to get closer to Allah and become more righteous and pious! ‘So, what is your point?’ You may ask. It is very simple: in couple of days, people will celebrate the 15th of Sha’aban and perform a lot of innovated rituals on it! Some will fast that day while others would pray night prayers specifically for that night! People believe that on that night, Allah ordains and decrees the provisions of all of creatures in this universe, including us! All of this is not true and it is a Bid’ah! Some scholars say that there is a hadeeth that indicates that this is a blessed night which the majority of other scholars say that it is not authentic. Even those who authenticate it say that innovating any type of ritual in it is prohibited, such as fasting it or specifying it with a special prayer. Therefore, when we warn our brothers and sisters from such things, it is not because we don’t want them to pray or fast, may Allah forbid! It is because we only want the best for them and this is to be with our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam. We know for sure that innovators would be deprived from this privilege. So please, don’t innovate or celebrate this night and follow the Sunnah instead. May Allah forgive our sins, increase our knowledge and make us true followers to our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam.
