We remember the season of Pentecost with the Parable of the unjust steward. Many Catholics have a bit of difficulty in understanding the moral of this parable thinking that Our Lord is actually speaking highly of the children of iniquity than He is of the children of the Light. Read this summary and see if it helps; if not-- a good Bible study on this very important parable might be just what the doctor ordered because it is imperative that we not only read the scriptures a lot (like protestants often boast of doing)--but to actually UNDERSTAND that which weve just read. Of course one must always pray to the Holy Ghost for guidance in studying Gods holy word--read CATHOLIC commentaries (meaning pre-Vatican II) --NOT protestant ones!
