We respectfully note the death of Stephen Percoco. His obituary follows: Stephen L. Percoco, of Hull, age 91, died Sept. 15, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Percoco worked for BF Goodrich during World War II. When the war first started, the U.S. Army-Air Corps’ P-51 Mustang had a 90-percent rejection rate that caused many aircraft to crash. Mr. Percoco worked for the War Department in perfecting a synthetic glue for the aircraft’s rudders that resulted in a 100-percent efficiency rate. He was later in life commended for this work with many citations from the state and federal levels of government. In addition, Mr. Percoco held two lock-assembly patents from the U.S. Patent Office in Washington for his original designs. Beloved husband of 66 years of Ann M. [DeVasto] Percoco; he was the loving father of Jane Walsh and her husband, Ken, of Hull; the proud Papa of Lauren Walsh and Alison Walsh, both of Hull; the brother-in-law of Cosmo DeVasto of Dedham; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), Hingham, followed by his funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
