We returned yesterday afternoon from Jayton, after attending Joe Brents funeral held at the nearly full high school auditorium. Much healing to our grief was felt as we heard of the multitudes of people he influenced, whether friends, family, students, faculty. He loved in so many different ways and made each one feel they were the most important person in the world to him. Although I am far from it, that is the kind of person I want to strive to be. This weekend his daughters will go to Dallas to receive the Outstanding Biology Teacher of the year for Texas for their dad. They are 2 of the most amazing girls, age 7 and 13, I have ever known! Joes legacy will live on in many of our hearts and lives!
