We seem to think affordable housing will magically happen. No it will not. In NYC alone there are 8000 homeless on any given night. In Seattle it is almost as many. Poverty is an institution embedded in our society, it is *not* a choice. You cannot expect churches to solve it all because this is a systematic societal issue that is being ignored. It is an AMERICAN problem. Iceland went bankrupt and does not have this problem nor does any other developed country. Call your city representatives, your legislators, and talk to your family and friends. Teach them the homeless are not invisible to anyone but Americans!
