We should be thanking the dairy industry. At a time when conservative dimwits are telling us that if we raise the minimum wage it will cost jobs the nations dairy farmers have proven there is no connection with wages and employment. Theyve been through an historic boom and still were too miserable to pay a proper wage and have had to resort to exploiting immigrant workers. So the next time someone tells you an increase in the minimum wage will cost jobs just remind yourself that the person saying that is brainless and if you feel like pointing it out to them ask how come a boom dairy industry hasnt resulted in higher wages.
