We shouldnt do this to each other: Sierra Leone footballer Michael - TopicsExpress

We shouldnt do this to each other: Sierra Leone footballer Michael Lahoud says he and his teammates have been abused and humiliated by both fans and players, alike, over Ebola. Face2Face Africa reports: In September, when Lahoud and his teammates played in DR Congo, Lahoud says, The reaction from fans has been brutal at times. In DR Congo 20,000 people were chanting Ebola, Ebola for 90 minutes, he said. Its really difficult, it hurts. Most of us are not living in Sierra Leone at the moment, but we have family there so this outbreak is a very personal issue. It is probably one of the most painful experiences that Ive gone through as a footballer. Lahoud also called out mistreatment in Zambia, with not getting service and not being allowed to travel, as well as other players who refuse to swap jerseys with them. How can we treat our own this way? None of us is exempt. https://face2faceafrica/article/sierra-stars-ebola-discrimination
