We think a sincere congratulations and thank you are in order to all of you amazing, selfless and unbelievably dedicated OCP members out there, who helped eliminate the unprecedented number of offenders backed up in county jails. The backup has been as low as 139 offenders in recent weeks, down from more than 2,000 just a few months ago. We know what kind of hard work, courage and determination it took to accomplish the Directors goal of eliminating the backup and we know what kind of issues youre currently dealing with as a result. Our prisons are now 1,400 inmates over-capacity. All of you continue to work short-handed. Many of you do the jobs alone that used to be done by several. But, the agency will save more than $15 mill per year as a result of your efforts and we will continue to advocate putting that money towards hiring more staff and paying current staff better wages. You deserve to be recognized for your achievements and for all your sacrifice. We are so proud of all of you and we are continually amazed at what youre able to accomplish. Thanks to all of you.
