We want to present SMILES FOR MILES in a very positive way.. Please know that the disorder of Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia NKH is not a pleasant subject. This is indeed a very devastating illness. Beautiful, darling little babies Having seizures... We have been told only about 500 living cases. I would like to take this chance to say that if one of these babies are your son or daughter or grandchild - it is like there may as well be millions of cases.. It takes over your world and completely rearranges your life. Everything you knew becomes a bleep... And life starts in a new direction. Everyday is unknown Everyday is prayer I have said "God Please!" More times than I can attach a number to. Everyone says, why would God let this happen. I have no answer, other than, this disorder and other illnesses is not of god. God is here to help us through these devastating times. We must stay STRONG and help each other. Thank GOD Miles has done pretty good, he is so beautiful. I believe, because of the constant love and care his mom, Amy and dad, Matt give him, is one of the factors why Miles is doing as well. 24 hours a day care, always making sure he has his meds On time... And just pure LOVE Matt and Amy and baby Miles life has been forever changed.
