We want to take a moment to thank our incredibly dedicated volunteers here at the Marine Mammal Center... at the main hospital in Sausalito... and at our satellite facilities to the north and south. To date this year, youve responded to 5,105 calls, and rescued and/or taken care of 918 animals!! California Sea Lions: 664, Elephant Seals: 178, Harbor Seals: 61, Guadalupe Fur Seals: 4, Northern Fur Seals: 4, Sea Turtles: 2, Cetaceans: 5. Youre an incredibly hard-working and dedicated group of volunteers who give your time and energy in often difficult, sometimes dangerous, (always smelly) conditions... to assist the vet staff in taking care of our flippered friends.
