We want to thank all the racers and fans that attended our last 5K 2K race of the year! Had A LOT of out of town guys and gals join us! Thanks to all that made the trip to race with us, we are very grateful! Right before time trials we get a decent shower. Luckily it didn’t last too long and we had the track dry by 5:15 pm. Once the race started it was evident this was going to be an awesome race! After a few rounds of racing we got each class down to 8 cars. Paired at 8 in footbrake we had Paw Paw Miller vs Chris Wood, Billy Stamps vs Hayden Smith, Edwin Wills vs Lee Staggs and Jackie Crane vs Jeremy Wallen. Some great runs bring us down to 4 – Jeremy Wallen vs Billy Stamps would be the first two to square off hoping to make it to the finals! Billy is .022 on the tree while Jeremy is .024! Great reaction times for both! Close race with Billy taking the win! Next up we have Edwin Wills vs Chris Wood. Chris takes has the better tree with a .029 and never looks back! It’s Chris Wood and Billy Stamps in the final! Billy has lane choice by 7 thousandths of a second! In the final it’s all Chris Wood dialed a 6.89 runs a 6.893 to take the win! Great job guys! We move on to 8 cars in Pro – Jeff Bryant vs Brad Clarke are up first. Jeff is dialed a 5.77 and Brad is dialed a 4.97. Jeff leaves first with a great .013 light! Brad leaves with a PERFECT .000 light and runs 4.975 to take the win with a 5 thousandths package! Next up we have Adam Russell vs Stephen Bowen. Adam is dialed a 4.86 while Stephen is dialed a 5.06. The race was close, Adam broke out by .003 and Stephen broke out by .001 giving Stephen the win! Have to give Adam credit; he did the best dragster burnouts we’ve seen all year! Richie Hall vs Doug Cousins would be the next race. Richie has an .014 tree and runs one off for the win. Doug had a great night! The last quarter final run would be Anthony Jones vs Brandon Jones. Anthony dialed a 4.90 and Brandon is dialed a 6.17. Anthony takes the win by running a 4.901 while Brandon run a 6.167 (3 thousandths breakout). At four cars we have Anthony Jones vs Brad Clarke and Richie Hall vs Stephen Bowen. Jones and Clarke are up first .002 separates them on the tree! Great run with Anthony taking the win! Richie and Stephen are staged and ready. When the tree drops Richie is .007 and Stephen is .016. Richie takes the win! In the final we have Anthony Jones vs Richie Hall! Door car vs Dragster. When the dust settles Anthony Jones uses a .012 tree to take the win! Congratulations to all! Great night of racing! Thanks again to all that attended!! We hope to see you back really soon!
