We watched Cloud Atlas last night - took a while for us both to be able to follow the story as it trips around between moments in various centuries, eons, cultures, countries and even space. Truly trippy and well worth the nearly 3 hours it took! Yes, there was some violence that was difficult, so it is NOT for kids to see - but we both loved the way the lives, loves & stories wound like a ribbon throughout - from the womb to the tomb, our lives are not our own ... death is but a doorway to another life ... I have always believed this. At the end of the flick, the myriad characters are shown with the names of the actors who played each, and I was astounded by the creativity of the makeup, costumes, music, everything that went into it. MUST find the book!! If any of my friends saw this movie, what are your thoughts?
