We welcome back our members from strike team Ashburg Alpha from helping our friends in SA, and Bernie from Pipers Flat who was also over there as an Air Observer- the feedback from the IMT on the ground were that our team did us proud, and were instrumental in saving many homes and livestock. Group 2 said they were working with two other strike teams, and our Group Officer became the Sector Leader containing the three strike teams on a vital section of the fireline. In hilly terrain and no repeaters, the old methods of staying high and radio relays ensured the sector dealt with all issues quickly and professionally. Be proud residents, and welcome back team! We are very proud of you all! Hopefully we can get some photos up from them after some much needed rest.
