We went to Sissi Bruchs election campaign Kickoff celebration at the Clallam County Democrats headquarters in Port Angeles yesterday. It was a packed house. Currently Sissi is a Port Angeles Councilwoman but she is running for Clallam County Commissione to replace Mike Doherty, a solid progressive who is stepping down. Many there were celebrating the UNANIMOUS vote by the Sequim City Council to kill two Right to Work (for less) ballot propositions. One woman said the Sequim City Council contacted the Shelton City Council where similar unionbusting measures were pending and they strategized on how to block them. She said the Shelton City Council also voted to kill them. The Koch Brothers struck out in both towns! Now I must check to see if the Lake Chelan City Council stood up and fought back. Stay tuned, folks....and if you vote, vote for Sissi!
