We went to the High Museum of Art to see the the Gordon Parks Exhibit. This exhibition showcases more than forty color photographs (MOST WERE TAKEN IN MOBILE, ALABAMA IN 1956) by trailblazing African American artist Gordon Parks, many on view for the first time. Created for an influential 1950s Life magazine article, these photographs offer a powerful look at the daily life and struggles of a multigenerational family living in segregated Alabama. Gordon Parks and the family who hosted him received death threats and were in extreme danger during the assignment for Life Magazine. If you are in Atlanta....you should see it. It will be on display until June 2015. The Museum is huge....and I highly recommend that you visit if you come to Atlanta....(Kyli Ian Powe, Pamela Powe) high.org/Art/Exhibitions/Gordon-Parks-Segregation-Story.aspx
