We went to the cardiologist at Childrens Hospital today to have a consult and follow-up echocardiogram after the pediatrician at the hospital, when Scarlet was born, thought she heard a heart murmur and saw two areas in Scarlets heart that are blood vessels that are supposed to close after birth but had not. The doctor was great and said the ECG we had done at the pediatricians office last week, and the echocardiogram done at the hospital allvshowed normal heart activity for newborns, tgat at least one of the vessels had likely closed and the other would likely close within the next few months to a year and no repeat echo was necessary! Yay! An official clean bill of health, not that I was worried, I knew she was okay, but getting the official okay from the doctor makes me feel great! : )
