We were at Shoal creek last night , bit of swimming . While I sat on the bank just watching the wild life , a little boy came walking along the path and saw the 4 canadian geese , a mom , dad and the 2 young , You know there were 3 babies when I first saw them . That was about 3 months ago , they were just learning to swim . Of course we had a lot of rain and flooding during that time so one must have gotten lost . Well this little boy ran at the geese scaring them , and started to chase them, I yelled at the top of my lungs for him to stop , he did and turned to me , I noticed he was about 6 years old . I asked him if he would like to be chased , he said NO , my reply was THEY (geese) dont either. He went on to tell his parent , who then talked to him about it. This isnt the first time a child has done this, Why cant we explain this to our children ? I noticed that one of the young had a wing all torn I looked closer and it truely was mangled , some one did catch one it seems . But that didnt stop it from trying to learn to fly . They didnt get off the ground but they sure tried . Maybe we should just watch the animals around us , and learn to deal with our disabilities .
