We were at my parents old home, where I spent my teen years. It had changed. The back deck was bigger and it had a gate at the top of the stairs that led down into the yard. As we stepped out onto it our dog ran past us and went frolicking around the deck as if he hadnt been out in days. It was Spring and I could tell by the feel of the air the grass was soggy. Our guest started walking around mostly to avoid the dog. He stepped in something - as I was about to warn him. Cat yak I said as he looked down at his foot in disgust - no, really, its only yak!. At that moment the dog sailed over the gate of the deck and was off and running down in the wet yard. A moment later he was running at full speed with a good sized turtle in his mouth! Then he started to balance on his hind legs all the while keeping a strong yet gentle hold on the turtle. I remarked that the dogs front paws were pulled in toward his body. Bobby, our 110 pound Collie / St. Bernard dog looked like a T-Rex. I started yelling at him to drop the turtle. He ignored me and danced around with this turtle between his jaws, not quite biting, just holding him. He bobbed on two legs while his teeth flashed a crazy smile - all while he held onto the turtle! . Finally, begrudgingly he put the turtle down on the walk way. I breathed a sigh of relief. The turtle looked up at me on the deck and said - hello, a little help here!. I rolled over and opened my eyes. Man busy dreams exhaust me
