We were in the 11th grade when Bobby Taylor Jr. challenged me by saying come make us better then in response to me saying I didnt want to play on Osborns football team cuz the team didnt have a winning record lol. I began working out with the team in the off season and soon pressing with Obray Dixon. The team kept telling me Coach O wanted to meet me, and spoke highly of him...sparking my anticipation. One day while puttin in work in the weight room I heard the door open and a deep voice spoke over me Who is Chris Hunter?!?!?! I racked the weight & raised from the bench to answer (nervously lol)...the man responded Im Coach O, its nice to meet you; Ive heard a lot about you. This great man,Coach of Football and Life, and Father Obray Jerome Dixon invested into my life, taught me, believed in me, and directed my path. The Messiah moved upon this great man as a messenger to call the destructive & purposeless 16yr old I was out of the darkness. I always made it a point to tell him that, to thank him, and to tell him that I loved him. I salute this Great General with a heavy heart as he has made is transition into eternity. My love, prayers, and support go out to Obray Dixon, Shohnda Lenee Benjamin, Lesley Lowe, and the rest of his family. Peace To my O-Dawg Brothers, I know your hearts are also heavy.
