We were on location at St. Josephs Manor last night. This Manor - TopicsExpress

We were on location at St. Josephs Manor last night. This Manor was once a Nursing Home and Hospital. Built around 1890, the building was originally a chicken coop better known as Colonial Poultry Farms and housed 800,000 baby chicks and countless incubators. In 1945 Mary S. Rankin purchased the building and donated it for use as a hospital. The first working hospital name was Rankin Community Hospital. The Holy Cross Abbey and many people worked to bring in a group of nuns from Covington, KY to run the hospital. The name was eventually changed to St. Josephs Hospital, and at a later date St. Josephs Manor (Nursing Home) Today, the building is owned by the City of Florence. The municipal building houses, Colorado State Patrol, Florence Police Department, CLS Lab and The City of Florence government. The wing that was the original hospital was also the location of Florence Fright Nights, Haunted Hospital, the local haunted house hosted during the Halloween season. What a fantastic building to visit. There were a lot of personal experiences. We hope to return again soon!
