We were practicing inside during the thunder storm monsoon and I said, if you left your car windows down, you might want to run to the parking lot!! No one moved. Years ago there would have been a mad dash. Later one of the senior vet field commanders said, Did you realize that only about 3 or 4 people drive in here right now :) We have a great senior class, but they are spread over 5 areas.( field commander, pit etc.) What is interesting is that we are loaded with vets in the horn line that can play. They are just a lot of 8th, 9th and 10th. Graders. There are moments when the horn line sounds really solid for pre camp. One of the best behaved, motivated bunch of kids Ive ever worked with. Of course were not moving yet. :):)
