We will be kicking off our year-end fundraising next week! It costs over $20,000 per year to operate The Village, and many of our community programs, such as low and no-cost boarding and rehab, are only possible because of donors who support what we do. Our increased involvement in hoarding and emergency cases means we are looking at close to a $30,000 budget for 2015 if we are to continue doing more than just taking in birds. Your support means the world to me, personally, because it allows me to do this full-time with no salary, but it means far more than that to the birds here and the families who had to part with their birds; they can never be far from our thoughts. For October we have new T-shirts, the Lego Project, and the Toy Tree. For November, we will have new Sponsorship and Membership opportunities, which make great gifts for even the most difficult person on your list. We will also have much sought after items available on our ebay page, as well as opportunities for you to make some money for yourself in the process...win! win!. It is never too late to donate items for us to sell on ebay; that will be a year round funds builder. That is how we got started here, so it only makes sense to keep it going.
