We will gather FREELY when politicians are campaigning. Immediately after elections, we can no longer gather unless permitted. Politicians will beg for our votes. After elections, they will chase us with police, dogs & tear gas not to demand for our rights. We dont beg politicians to come and rule us, they beg they want to rule YET we will be the ones to beg them to provide amenities. The irony is that we will still be ones to dance for them and carry placards for them. We will fight and kill for them. What stopped us from sitting at the polling units declining to vote and demanding a better nation? The highest blackmail they use is that we should participate so that we can choose the best. Participate in what? A process whereby if the winner emerged, police, tear gas and dogs will be deployed to chase us home if we disagreed with the result?
