We worry too much about our weaknesses. We can overtake our weaknesses by excelling at our strengths. And our strengths require practice. Good, informed practice is what each of us needs to accomplish anything. This is not optional. But what is also not optional is our recognition that once we get good at something that the striving is over, that our energy and enthusiasm should wane. I have been speaking for many years and each time I get up in front of group of people, I consider how I might present things so that it becomes even more engaging, even more informational and inspirational. I seek out new ideas, new happenings to pepper my talk with something new, something that can ignite thought and action. I am always looking for how to improve. I believe it was Picasso, when he was asked if his painting was finished, who said, "It is never finished." The very joy of any activity is to make it better. We never know how much better we can become if we do not keep reaching for the stars.
