We would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to one of our volunteers, Jeff Belile, and his wife Aimee for installing our new rescue kennels! We are an all volunteer organization with NO paid employees and we do not have a public shelter, however, some of our dogs do reside at a private local facility while waiting for a foster or forever home. Some of the dogs only have a brief stay until a suitable foster match is available, others who are in need of a more specific home are there for a much longer stay. Our space there is limited, yet this allows us to save so many more lives than we could without the facility. The dogs receive high quality food, treats, and toys, as well as daily nature walks and social time with staff and our dedicated volunteers. In order to make the stay as enjoyable as possible we purchased three larger rescue kennels earlier this year for some of our longer term residents, and in order to keep the cost as low as possible, Jeff dedicate an entire day to installing them for us free of charge. Jeff and Aimee spent one day last weekend, from morning until closing time, installing the kennels and we are so grateful to them! This dynamic duo are also our new foster home coordinators and foster parents to Butler and several former PLP pups! We truly have amazing volunteers!
