We would like to take a quick second to think about all the hard work that goes into an event like the Polar Bear Plunge Maryland and all the great people that make it happen. We are not talking about the radio station, we are talking about the Maryland State Police, Special Olympics Maryland and a huge number fantastic and caring volunteers that just want to make a great and SAFE event that goes to help Special Olympic Athletes. We are sure it was a hard decision to cancel todays event, but with the temperatures being this cold, for the number of days leading up to the plunge, the intense wind and the dangerous conditions - it is not worth risking someone getting hurt. Our thanks go out to everyone who has donated so far to this cause and for everyone who works to make this event happen.
