#WeAreOne One major factor that allows violence is the view of otherness. I wish to break this down and recognize that every human being is a part of me, and I am a part of every human being. There is no other, which is what I believe the oneness of spirituality to be all about. I am the people who died in Baga; I am the people who constitute Boko Haram; I am the people who believe in Islam who are fleeing in the Central African Republic; I am the people who believe in Christianity who are attacking them; I am the person who designed and printed the political cartoons in France and I am also a person who killed him; I am the people killed by police because of overt and covert racial bigotry in Ferguson and elsewhere in the US; I am the people who have killed innocent people due to overt and covert racial bigotry. When we truly realize that we are all one, we may, for a moment, find peace and an opportunity for forgiveness, healing and finding a compassionate way forward. My request is for everyone to tell whoever their other is, that I am you, you are me and we are one. How do you feel expressing this to yourself and yourself?
