Weather Forecast for Kent – Wednesday 13th August ’14. Low pressure continue to hang off to the north east of the UK but with pressure slowly starting to rise in from the south west. As a result of all that, we, here, at Kent continue to be under a brisk westerly-type airflow. TODAY . . . The rest of this morning is expected to go along on a decent note with lengthy sunny spells and patchy cloud cover, however cloud amounts will slowly increase as we wear onto the afternoon where it’ll be thick enough to give off an odd shower here and there by supper time. But, even so, there’ll still be some bright spells about anyway. Despite that slight shower risk in the afternoon, today is going to be a more reliable day for getting the line washing sorted anyway, and the light to moderate westerly breeze mean that it’ll be feeling just that little bit warmer with temperatures getting up to 20 C (68 F). TONIGHT . . . Although there’ll be a fair amount of cloud about, a few clear breaks will form here and there and it’ll be staying generally dry. At least it’ll be another comfortable night to sleep in what with temperatures falling down to as low as 11 C (52 F) inland under a light westerly breeze. TOMORROW (Thursday) & FRIDAY . . . It does look like tomorrow (Thursday) may tend to be a little more cloudy and there’ll be some showers about. As always with a showery-type situation, some areas may get wet and other areas may remain dry all day. Much the same thing can be expected on Friday, rather cloudy with scattered showers but there’ll also be some bright spells. As a result of all that, daytime temperatures tending to stick close to average values at around 19 (66 F) and will be quite comfortably cool at nights under light north west winds. WEEKEND . . . Although Saturday is likely to be mostly dry with decent bright spells, it does look like becoming more cloudy with showery rain again on Sunday. Temperatures sticking close to average values as our wind continue to come in from the north west. Doesn’t sound terribly High Summer-like, doesn’t it? All looking a bit flat as we go through the school holiday, but then again at least it’ll be feeling very comfortable and fresh for it.
