Weather Situation An intense low pressure system centred over the southern New South Wales coast is beginning to weaken and move slowly southwards, bringing an easing of conditions in that area. During Wednesday another trough will move through New South Wales, generating windy conditions in most districts. During this time, a weak high pressure system is forecast to develop over South Australia before drifting east during Thursday and Friday, maintaining generally fine conditions. Forecast for the rest of Tuesday Cloudy. Scattered showers, mainly in the south. Winds westerly 15 to 20 km/h. Wednesday 18 September Partly cloudy. Scattered showers, more frequent near the Victorian border, falling as snow above 1300 metres during the evening. The chance of thunderstorms from the early afternoon in the south. Winds west to northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 7 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching between 11 and 18.
