Web Developer Roles and responsibilities Provide Drupal Web Developer services virtually such as: • Creating page themes for Drupal sites from provided graphic files • Posting content • Maintaining effective information architecture • Light graphic design • Integration of new technologies • Supporting staff use of the Content Management System (CMS) • Trouble shoot and support the CMS and assisting with development of Website strategy. Web Development & Production • Leverage Drupal to maintain and build web sites, pages, themes, page elements, landing pages, XML documents, RSS feeds, banners and other types of content as needed. • Work with external vendor or in house developer(s) to support and extend existing Drupal architecture. • Develop custom theme work with Drupal. • Evaluate and deploy Drupal modules with a solid understanding of the framework, coding best-practices, and the Drupal community. • This would be desired but not required: • Develop custom Drupal modules that integrate with existing modules. • Support, maintain, and administer Drupal sites. • Translate design comps into Drupal themes. • Identify system deficiencies - research, recommends and implement solutions. • Communicate and enforce coding standards. • Create well designed, reusable objects/includes. • Conduct testing and quality control of web pages, forms, functionality and email communications. • Providing support, training, and documentation for clients, team members, and colleagues. Strong Experience in Drupal Administration, Development, Theming, Plugin and Module. Desired but not required qualifications are: • Experience with web development based on open source platforms • Experience in account management. • Experience with CRM systems such as Convio, GetActive, Blackbaud.Familiarity with web metrics tools - such as Google Analytics Knowledgebase Applicant should have basic to thorough knowledge of: • web industry trends • new technologies and competition. • updated with latest Webinars, lectures and other web-related events. Development • Strong understanding and fluency in PHP5, jQuery, Javacript and AJAX • Database administration skills, including knowledge and experience with MySQL, SQL, Oracle, or other enterprise-scale database. • Understanding of relational database structures. • Experience integrating 3rd-party web applications, services, and components. • Technical knowledge in web development applications such as Dreamweaver and Flash. • Deep expertise with HTML, XML CSS, cross-browser development practices, and browser degradation strategies. • Exceptional organizational skills as well as focused attention to detail. • Commitment to following Drupal standards for coding and commenting • Knowledge of technical and functional design requirements. Skills Proficient in MS Office Applications. Good to excellent written & verbal English communication skills. Internet savvy. Work experience 1-2years Salary Range 12,000 and up; depending on experience
