Wed like to introduce you to David Payne, The Chamberlins Executive Chef! He joined the team in March 2011 as Sous Chef. He studied classical French Cuisines at The Culinary Institute of Virginia and graduated in 2006. Payne has held the position as Sous Chef at Virginia Beach’s own Bella Monte. From there, Payne was offered the title of Chef de Cuisine for the well-known Argyles Restaurant in Kitty Hawk, N.C. A longtime Newport News, Va. native, David Payne actually began his career as a labor and employment lawyer. For 12 years, Payne focused on his vocation in the field of law until finally pursuing his longtime passion for the culinary arts.
